To completely tune in with our horse we have to become aware of our body, mindset and emotions. Fine riding means to me to incorporate not only our being but  the horse's biomechanics and character in terms of the horse's individual horsenality.

 

Because the body can relax through the mind and the mind through the body. 

 

Fine and mindful  riding means to me to figure out every day what each horse needs. 

TO RELAX THE Mind THROUGH THE Body

"Cori" is like a feather in the wind. She needs our full attention and concentration. She loves to be ridden with imagination and breathing only.

In the beginning of a riding session it helps "Cori" to trot in an extended posture to let go of tension in her body. Afterwards she is able to listen and to connect with the rider.

To relax the Body through the Mind

My pony "Maybe" hates repetition. She gets easily bored and disconnects. For her I need to work in short and interesting sequences.
